If you use our website, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer to prevent unauthorised access to your account. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. You should take all necessary steps to ensure that the password is kept confidential and secure and should inform us immediately if you have any reason to believe that your password has become known to anyone else, or if the password is being, or is likely to be, used in an unauthorised manner.

We reserve the right to refuse access to the website, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel orders at our discretion.
We will do our utmost to ensure that availability of the website will be uninterrupted and that transmissions will be error-free. However, due to the nature of the Internet, this cannot be guaranteed. Also, your access to the website may also be occasionally suspended or restricted to allow for repairs, maintenance, or the introduction of new facilities or services. We will attempt to limit the frequency and duration of any such suspension or restriction.
Electric Planet grants you a limited licence to access and make personal use of this website, but not to download (other than page caching) or modify it, or any portion of it, except with our express written consent. The licence granted to you does not include any resale or commercial use of this website or its contents; any collection and use of any product listings, descriptions, or prices; any derivative use of this website or its contents; any downloading or copying of account information for the benefit of another merchant; or any use of data mining, robots, or similar data gathering and extraction tools.
This website or any portion of this website may not be reproduced, duplicated, copied, sold, resold or otherwise exploited for any commercial purpose without our express written consent.
You may not frame or use framing techniques to enclose any trademark, logo, or other proprietary information (including images, text, page layout, or form) of ElectricPlanet.co.uk and its partners/affiliates without express written consent. You may not use any meta tags or any other 'hidden text' utilising our or our partners/affiliates' names or trademarks without the express written consent of Electric Planet. We accept payment by credit/debit card, personal cheque, banker's draft, postal order and bank transfer (BACS).
The card types we currently accept (via WorldPay) are: Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Maestro, JCB and Solo.
Credit/debit card payments and bank transfer (BACS) payments are accepted for all orders, worldwide.
The minimum order value for BACS payments is £20. If you wish to pay by this method, please contact us before placing your order. We will then provide specific payment instructions.
Cheques, banker's drafts and postal orders are only accepted for UK orders over £20 (including P&P).
If you choose to pay by personal cheque, postal order or banker's draft, please contact us to check product availability and confirm p&p charges prior to sending payment. Having reserved your product(s), please ensure we receive your payment within 5 working days. In the event of any unavoidable delay in making your payment, please contact us as soon as possible. We reserve the right to cancel any order unpaid for after 7 working days, where no (or inadequate) communication has occurred.
Cheques, banker's drafts and postal orders should be made payable to 'Electric Planet LLP' and should be accompanied by a covering letter detailing the following:
- Your order (products, quantities and size/colour/style choices where applicable)
- Your cheque guarantee card number
- The amount guaranteed (e.g. £50, £100, £250)
- The card's expiry date
- Your contact details and delivery address

Please be aware that, once received, cheques, postal orders and banker's drafts take up to 7 days to process. Your order cannot be dispatched until your cheque has cleared. Please do not choose this method of payment if you require items quickly. Please remember to include the delivery charge.
Orders cannot be dispatched until we have received cleared payment in full.
All prices on the ElectricPlanet.co.uk website are shown in GBP (Great British Pounds) / £ sterling.
Despite our best efforts, very occasionally, a small number of the hundreds of products in our catalogue may be mispriced. Rest assured, however, that prices are verified as part of our dispatch process. If a product's correct price is lower than our stated price, we charge the lower amount and send you the product. If a product's correct price is higher than our stated price, we will, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before dispatch or cancel your order and notify you of the cancellation.
We aim to list current availability information for products sold by us on on each product information page of the ElectricPlanet.co.uk website. Beyond what we say on that page or otherwise on the website, we cannot be more specific about availability.
Please note that dispatch estimates are just that. They are not guaranteed dispatch times and should not be relied upon as such. As we process your order, we will inform you by email if any products you order turn out to be unavailable.

While we're confident you'll be delighted with your Electric Planet purchase, circumstances can arise where you need to return an item to us. We endeavour to keep this process as simple and efficient as possible for both parties.
We ask that you contact us by email before sending anything back to us. We cannot accept any returns that are not first approved by our Support Team and/or do not have a valid Returns Authorisation Code.
Your email must include the following information:
- Your full name
- Your order number (found on the sales receipt in your parcel)
- The product(s) in question
- The date you purchased from us
- Your daytime telephone number
- The reason you wish to return the item/order
- The nature of the fault (if applicable)
Our Support Team will respond, by email, as soon as possible - usually within 48hrs. They will provide you with your unique Returns Authorisation Code and advise you how and where to send the product(s).
Items purchased from ElectricPlanet.co.uk and dispatched during the period November 15th, 2008 to December 23rd, 2008 inclusive may be returned at any time up until January 31st, 2009. Aside from the extended Returns period, our standard Returns Policy applies. Please read our Returns & Refunds section in full before returning items or contacting us.
Where possible, we test products prior to dispatch and we always ensure orders are adequately packed to obviate damage in transit. However, in the unlikely event that an item arrives damaged, with defects, or turns out to be genuinely faulty, we will replace it free of charge. Where a like-for-like replacement cannot be provided (e.g. if the item is no longer in stock) we will provide a refund.
Important: If your parcel has clearly been damaged in transit, please let us know within 48hrs and, if possible, take a photograph to document the condition of the packaging before you open it. This will enable us to hold the delivery company accountable and provide you with a replacement as quickly and efficiently as possible.
If you feel an item has arrived in a defective condition, please let us know within 7 days of receipt. Once your Returns Authorisation Code has been sent, you have a further 14 days to return the item/order to the address specified. Unauthorised returns and returns received outside the above timescales cannot be processed and will be rejected.
Where the returned item(s) are found to be genuinely faulty, replacement(s) or a full refund (including postage) will be issued within 7 days of receipt.
Please note: any item returned as faulty that shows evidence of tampering or, after testing, is found to be in normal working order, will not be eligible for replacement or refund. In this instance, we will email you with our decision and the test results, and give you the opportunity to pay for the item to be sent back to you.
Certain product faults may be adequately rectified by the replacement of specific parts or components. We reserve the right to provide replacement parts - rather than whole items - in these circumstances. For example, on the rare occasions when EL t-shirts fail to illuminate, nine times out of ten the problem can be solved by replacing the detachable battery pack, rather than the t-shirt itself or the EL panel. This policy enables us to remedy this type of problem without incurring unnecessary cost for either party (since you then wouldn't need to post the shirt back to us).
If you wish to return an item because of a change of heart, an error on your part, or because you are unhappy with a product you have purchased from us, let us know within 7 days of receipt and we will issue a refund (excluding p&p) providing our Returns Policy guidelines are followed.
Please note: we cannot offer exchanges for alternative products, sizes or variations.
Once you have been allocated a Returns Authorisation Code, as with faulty products (see above), you must return the item/order to the specified Returns address within 14 days. Unauthorised returns and returns received outside the above timescales cannot be processed and will be rejected.
Important: Returned items must arrive in an unused and (preferably unopened) 'as sent' condition complete with original product packaging intact and inclusive of any accessories and instructions.
If, after inspection, the product(s) is found to be in a fully resaleable condition, we will issue a refund (minus p&p) in the same form of payment used for your initial purchase - usually within 7 days of receipt of the returned item(s).
Items returned to us in an unsatisfactory, non-resaleable condition do not qualify for a refund and will incur additional p&p costs should they be returned to you.
Please note: we cannot be held responsible for returned items lost or damaged in transit - they remain your responsibility until they reach us. We recommend that all returned items are adequately wrapped and packed to minimise the likelihood of damage enroute. We also suggest that items are sent via Royal Mail recorded delivery. Please do not return items/orders via Special Delivery or any 'next day' courier service as these methods are unnecessarily expensive and will not result in your return being processed more quickly.
When ordering goods from ElectricPlanet.co.uk for delivery overseas you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the package reaches the specified destination. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you should contact your local customs office for further information. Additionally, please note that when ordering from Electric Planet.co.uk, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods.
Your privacy is important to us and we know that you care about how information about your order is used and shared. We would like our international customers and customers dispatching products internationally to be aware that cross-border deliveries are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities.
Electric Planet does not sell products for purchase by minors. We sell children's products for purchase by adults. If you are under 16, you may use ElectricPlanet.co.uk only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
When you visit ElectricPlanet.co.uk or send emails to us, you are communicating with us electronically. We communicate with you by email or by posting notices on the website. For contractual purposes, you consent to receive communications from us electronically and you agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications that we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.
Users of this website may post reviews, comments and other content; send communications; and submit suggestions, ideas, comments, questions, or other information, as long as the content is not illegal, obscene, abusive, threatening, defamatory, invasive of privacy, infringing of intellectual property rights, or otherwise injurious to third parties, or objectionable and does not consist of or contain software viruses, political campaigning, commercial solicitation, chain letters, mass mailings, or any form of 'spam'. You may not use a false email address, impersonate any person or entity, or otherwise mislead as to the origin of any content. Electric Planet reserves the right (but not the obligation) to remove or edit any content.
If you do post content or submit material, and unless we indicate otherwise, you
- (a) grant Electric Planet a non-exclusive, royalty-free and fully sublicensable rights to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such content throughout the world in any media; and
- (b) grant Electric Planet and its partners/affiliates and sublicensees the right to use the name that you submit in connection with such content, if they choose.
You agree that the rights you grant above are irrevocable during the entire period of protection of your intellectual property rights associated with such content and material. You agree to waive your right to be identified as the author of such content and your right to object to derogatory treatment of such content.
