General Delivery Info

Dispatch Info

We dispatch orders, both for UK and international delivery, from our warehouse in Bournemouth, England.  We always make sure your purchases are picked efficiently, packaged securely and sent to you as quickly as possible.

Most orders placed before 2pm, Monday to Friday, are dispatched from our warehouse the same day, subject to stock availability and mandatory security checks, via Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded or our express courier, FedEx.

Orders placed at weekends, on bank holidays or after 2pm during the week are processed and dispatched on the next working day.

We endeavour to dispatch all orders within 24 working hours.

Delivery Charges

Our standard delivery charges are calculated according to the size, weight and value of the product(s) ordered, and your delivery destination.

The standard delivery charge for your order will be clearly displayed on the Shopping Cart page, before you start the checkout process.

The default delivery destination is 'England' so, if you're ordering from elsewhere, be sure to select your country or region from the drop-down list in order to calculate the correct delivery charge and ensure your parcel is correctly addressed.

Please note: our delivery charges incorporate packaging, handling and materials, as well as actual shipping costs.

Choosing your Delivery Address

Once you've decided which amazing lights and gift(s) to buy, the next important decision is where to receive delivery.  Help us to get your order to you quickly and efficiently, first time, and we'll all be helping the environment by reducing our carbon footprints - everyone's a winner!

Electric Planet orders are generally sent via secure 'recorded' delivery services that require a signature on receipt and operate between 9am and 5.30pm on weekdays.  Please bear this in mind when placing your order, and be sure to specify a delivery address where someone reliable will be able to sign for your parcel between these hours - your work address, if necessary.

Express Delivery

When time is of the essence, we suggest that our UK customers select an Express Delivery option by adding one of our Express Delivery Upgrades to their cart before checking out.

Orders upgraded to Express Delivery receive priority handling and dispatch, and are sent by a 'next-day' (UK mainland) or expedited (UK non-mainland) delivery service.  Express Delivery orders are dispatched on the day of ordering, subject to stock availability and standard security checks, providing that orders are placed before 2pm.

Please note: your Express Delivery upgrade must be purchased at the same time as your order.  Please ensure you provide us with a valid contact telephone number at time of ordering.  This will not be used for any purpose other than to inform you of urgent issues regarding your order or relating to its delivery.

Unfortunately, Express Delivery is not currently available to our international customers.  However, if you need a faster-than-standard service, you can contact us and we'll try to help, if we can.

Express Delivery Guarantee

If you upgrade to one of our Express Delivery services and our delivery partners do not attempt to deliver to you within the stated time frame, we'll refund you the difference between the Express and standard delivery charge.

Free UK Delivery Info

Spend over a certain amount and, with a wave of our magic light-up wand, we'll grant you FREE standard delivery within the UK.

The level of loot required to override the Delivery Charge Generator depends on your delivery destination.  Mainland UK orders need only reach £75 to get free delivery.  However, due to higher postal costs, orders to other parts of the UK qualify over £150, while Channel Island orders need to hit the £175 mark.

Regrettably, it's not currently possible to offer a free delivery level for international orders, though this is something we hope we'll be able to arrange in the not-too-distant future.

Once you've added the products you wish to purchase, select your delivery destination from the drop-down country list.  If your order surpasses the free delivery level for your chosen destination, the delivery charge will automatically display as £0.00 and a thrifty grin will creep across your face.

If your Cart's contents is under the free delivery threshold, a delivery charge will still be applied.  Simply add some more light-up loot to your cart to qualify for free delivery.

Please note: Free delivery means free standard delivery to your chosen destination - see the relevant delivery table, below, for timescales and other details.

You can still purchase an Express Delivery upgrade if you need your light-up goodies quicker.

UK Delivery

To maximize speed and efficiency, we send UK orders by Royal Mail 1st Class or with our courier, FedEx UK, as standard.  The service used will be determined by the size, weight and value of your order.  We may, from time to time, use alternative carriers when beneficial.

Should you need your order even quicker than usual, or wish to arrange delivery for a more specific time frame, you can purchase a UK 'next-day' express delivery upgrade.  See the table relevant to your delivery destination, below, for services offered, more details and links to applicable Express Delivery options.

Please note: Express Delivery services are upgrades, charged in addition to the standard delivery applicable to any given order (e.g. £2.99 standard + £2.99 express = £5.98 total delivery), and should be added to your shopping cart, in the same way as products, prior to checkout.

Both our standard and express UK delivery services require a signature on receipt, so please be sure to specify a delivery address where someone trustworthy can sign for your parcel - your work address, if necessary.

UK Mainland

We offer a choice of the following services for mainland UK addresses:

For delivery purposes, we class the UK mainland as England, Scotland and Wales, excluding the Scottish Highlands and all offshore territories.

Standard mainland UK orders are generally delivered in 1 to 3 working days.  However, if you need your Electric Planet goodies even quicker, please purchase one of the Express Delivery options in the above delivery table.

Scottish Highlands & Islands

We offer a choice of the following services to Scottish Highland and island addresses:

The following postcodes are classed as 'Highlands and Islands': PH22, PH33, PA34, PH41, IV1, IV2, IV3, IV4, IV5, IV11, IV13, IV15, IV17, IV19, IV26, IV40, IV52, IV63, KW16, HS2 and ZE1.

Being more remote, standard delivery to the Scottish Highlands and Islands generally takes 2 to 4 working days.  However, if you need your order even quicker, you can purchase an upgrade to Highlands & Islands Express delivery.

Northern Ireland

We offer a choice of the following services to addresses in Northern Ireland:

Other UK islands

We offer a choice of the following services to Other UK Island addresses:

For delivery purposes, 'other UK islands' include the Isle of Wight, the Isle of Man, Lundy, Mull, the Scilly Isles and all other offshore UK territories that don't fall into another delivery group.

Standard delivery to Other UK Islands generally takes 1 to 4 working days.  However, if you need your order even quicker, you can purchase an upgrade to Other Islands Express delivery.

Channel Islands

We offer the following services to addresses in the Channel Islands:

Standard delivery generally takes 2 to 3 working days to Jersey and Guernsey and 2 to 4 working days to Herm, Sark and Alderney.  However, if you need your order even quicker, you can purchase an upgrade to Channel Islands Express delivery.

* Please note: standard delivery for the majority of orders to offshore and relatively remote UK destinations will normally cost between £2.99 and £13.99.  Only large or heavy (over 8kg) orders will incur the higher charges listed since they need to be sent via special courier.  The standard delivery charge for your order will be clearly displayed in the Shopping Cart and Checkout pages.

Due to the relative remoteness of certain offshore destinations such as Herm, Sark, Alderney and other less accessible UK islands, very large/heavy consignments (over 25kg) will normally incur a surcharge to the listed delivery price.  We will contact you a.s.a.p. if necessary.

Free Local Collection

Local customers are welcome to collect their orders from our premises, by appointment, free of charge.

If you're ordering online and would like to collect your Electric Planet order, choose 'Free Local Collection' from the drop-down list on our Shopping Cart page before you check out.

Enter your details and pay, via credit or debit card, in the usual way.  The online checkout process will still, somewhat annoyingly, require you to enter a delivery address, but it can be anything - random text, xxx xxxx, xxxx xxxxxx, or whatever.  Apologies for this - we're working on it!  Note: the address will be saved in your account area, so if you might want your next EP order delivered, it could save time to put a real address.

Be sure you enter your real billing address (where your card is registered) correctly, however, and input a valid email address and telephone number so we can contact you.

Once you've placed your order (either via the website or by phone), you'll receive an Order Confirmation email to confirm your purchase(s).

Please allow 24 working hours from receipt of your Order Confirmation email for your order to be processed, security checked etc and prepared for collection.

When your order is ready to be collected, we'll send you an Order Collection email, asking you to call us to arrange collection at a convenient time.

Please note: for security purposes, the person who placed the order must collect it, and must bring along the payment card they used to pay for the order, together with the relevant order number and customer reference number.

Delivering to BFPO addresses

We accept orders to all BFPO addresses which are charged at our standard UK delivery rates (calculated by weight, size and value).

There may be some restrictions regarding which products can be sent, but we'll contact you immediately if there's a problem.

International Delivery

To place an order from outside the UK, select your country from the drop-down list on the 'Shopping Cart' page of our website.  The delivery charge (calculated automatically, based on the weight, size and value of your order) will be clearly displayed before you begin the checkout process.

Please note: all prices are shown in GBP - British pounds sterling (£).  If you are not completely sure of the cost, we suggest you use a frequently-updated currrency converter such as XE.com, for peace of mind, before placing your Electric Planet order.

Many of our international delivery services require a signature on receipt, and the majority of parcels we send won't fit through your letterbox, so please be sure to specify a delivery address where someone trustworthy can receive your parcel - your work address, if necessary.

Europe

We send European orders by Royal Mail's Tracked AirMail services or via our courier, FedEx International.  Your parcel will benefit from priority handling, online tracking and increased security for peace of mind.  The service used will be determined by your delivery destination and the size, weight and value of your order.  We may, from time to time, use alternative carriers when beneficial.

USA & Canada

We've listened to feedback from our friends across the pond; we now send all orders to North America via FedEx International Priority, as standard.
This means even quicker delivery, online parcel tracking as standard, and great prices for international shipping, too.

We're now able to pick and pack American orders by 2pm in England and deliver them to the majority of addresses in the United States and Canada withing 48 working hours - with many even reaching their destination the next working day.  Now that's fast!
