The Babushka Light is an exciting modern version of the classic Russian Doll, or nesting 'Matryoshka'.  The hollow wood figurine(s) of old have evolved into a curvaceous computer chip-controlled LED lighting sculpture, deserving of pride of place in any living space.

Babushka uses pulsing red and blue LEDs to illuminate the variously sized doll-shaped characters inside its dome.  Once activated - by simply pushing down on the top - it cycles through a funky pattern of coloured phasing lights and effects.

Whilst red, Babushka creates a stunning 'infinity effect' that reveals a seemingly endless row of dolls fading into the distance.  Whilst blue, the edges of the larger dolls are lit ('live edge').  Babushka continues its eye-catching lighting repertoire, changing from blue through pink and purple and on to red, showing off a range of effects as it phases.

Babooshka is made from curvy mouth-blown glass and mirror-coated perspex. It's supplied with a Mathmos UK power adaptor and operating instructions and comes in a stylish box, making it a perfect gift.
