The Sun Jar is a high-tech, energy efficient lighting masterpiece. Jam jars store jam, Sun Jars store sunshine to use at night.

Captured inside the jar is a highly efficient solar cell, a rechargeable battery and 3 low-energy LED lamps.

When the jar is placed in sunlight, the solar cell creates an electrical current that charges the battery over a few hours. This energy is then used at night to power the lamps inside the jar.

The light is diffused by the frosted jar and give the appearance of sunlight emitting from the glass. Warm coloured LED lights are used to give a natural light).

The Sun Jar has no visible controls, just a clever internal light sensor that automatically activates the lights when it gets dark or lights are turned out!

There's an override switch inside the lid so you can turn it off at night should you decide you don't require nocturnal sunshine.

The Sun Jar is built from a traditional Mason Jar, both attractive and completely water tight - so the Sun Jar can happily be left outside in any weather conditions.
