The hugely popular Glow Brick from British design house Suck UK is essentially a glowing light bulb encased inside a solid, transparent block of acrylic resin.

Each Glow Brick is cleverly crafted using a real light bulb infused with photoluminescent (glow-in-the-dark) pigment.

Glow Bricks make cool, contemporary tabletop or windowsill ornaments.  They're great as ambient garden or patio lighting - being waterproof, they can be left outside in all weather - and fabulous as funky bedside nightlights for children (or adults!).

The Glow Brick's clear, polished surfaces have a jewel-like quality.  After dark, the Glow Brick comes to life with a tranquil, subtle glow emanating from the phosphorescent matter inside the light bulb.

Glow Brick recharges from energy in natural sunlight during the day and glows softly at night.  If there's not enough sunshine, strong artificial light can be used to 'charge' it.

Care Info

Glow Bricks need direct sunshine or bright artificial light to work.  For best results, leave the Glo Brick outside, or in a sunny window, in direct sunlight for several hours to charge.  The GlowBrick will emit its glow when darkness falls and diminish in brightness over time.
